Farooq Abdullah, President of the ruling National Conference of Jammu and Kashmir, performed well with emotions after coming out of the Srinagar-Katra Vande Bharat train on Tuesday, and said that his dream of seeing Kashmir connected to the rest of India has come true through rail.

“I am very happy to see a dream today, for which I have waited for many years, the truth is coming,” he said, with tears in his eyes, after landing in Katra.

Abdullah said, “I can’t explain how much my heart is overwhelmed by joy that my eyes tear tears on the day I have been waiting for years, it has come true.”

Along with his grandson, Zamir and Jahir, the former J&K Chief Minister reached Katra N route to the Vaishnodevi pilgrimage site in Trikuta Hills. He hoped that with the rail link to Srinagar, pilgrims visiting the Vaishnodevi pilgrimage site would also visit Kashmir in large numbers and would visit the Amarnath pilgrimage in South Kashmir Himalayas.

He said that the train will not only provide connectivity, but will also promote love and friendship between two areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

Celebration offer

Stating that Amarnath pilgrims can come to Kashmir in large numbers in a large number of train, “Our people can comfortably travel comfortably in other parts of the country. Kashmir people will benefit from it as their fruits and other yields will reach other parts of the country in a short time.”

Wearing a hat and black sunglasses, experienced leaders were also in the train along with Tanveer Sadiq, the chief spokesperson of the National Conference, along with the consultant of Jammu and Kashmir Minister Satish Sharma and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Nasir Aslam Wani.

At Katra railway station, Farooq Abdullah was obtained by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chaudhary and National Conference Provincial President Ratan Lal Gupta.

“Mata has called (Mata Vaishno Devi has called me),” Abdullah said leaving Katra railway station to go to the pilgrimage. Nekan Provincial President Ratan Lal Gupta said that he and his grandchildren would stay at the pilgrimage site during the evening, and will stay in the region.
