Bihar Leader of Leader of Opposition and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashvi Yadav survived a serious accident on Saturday morning when a truck allegedly collided with his convoy, injuring three of his security personnel on National Highway 22 near Gorel in Vary district.
The incident took place around 1:30 pm when Yadav was returning to Patna with other party leaders from a program in Madhupura.
Tejashvi said, “We were returning from an event in Madhapura and stopped for tea. When we were stable, a truck lost control and hit two to three vehicles in front of me. Some of our security personnel were standing there … three of them were injured,” said Tejashvi.
He said that the accident took place “just five feet away”.

Yadav said, “It was a little more than control, it could also be killed,”
The injured security personnel were rushed to Sadar Hospital in Hazipur and are currently receiving medical attention.
The police has started an investigation into the incident, in which the detained truck driver is being questioned to find out the cause of the accident. SP Vaiseli, Lalit Mohan Sharma said, “The truck driver and assistant have been arrested, and the truck has also been detained. According to our initial findings, the vehicle first hit a bolero, after which it entered the convoy. So far, no evidence of drinking and driving has been found from our initial investigation.”
