actor Kunal Verma and Pooja Banerjee Police said on Friday that Bengali filmmaker Shyam Sundar Day was allegedly booked for kidnapping and withdrawing money in Goa.

The Goa police said that it received a zero FIR from the office of Deputy Commissioner of West Bengal Police, BDN Zone, Bidhinagar Police Commissioner, after which a crime was registered at Calngut Police Station in Goa on Thursday.

The FIR was registered under Section 126 (2) (wrong restraint), 137 (2) (kidnapping), 140 (2) (kidnapping or kidnapping or kidnapping or kidnapping for murder), 308 (5) (5) (5), 115 (2) (voluntarily hurt) and other relevant sections and other relevant sections.

According to the police, the complainant, Malabika Dey, who is a resident of Kolkata, alleged that from 31 May to 4 June, the accused persons “and kidnapped forcibly” her husband, Shyam Sundar Dey, when she was traveling in a rented car in Goa and limiting her in a villa. In the FIR, the complainant alleged that the accused attacked her husband and threatened to incorrectly implicate her in an intoxicating case. It was also alleged that the accused kept him in separate unknown places and withdraws Rs 23 lakh from him.

The Goa Police said the zero FIR was registered in West Bengal on 12 June. “We received zero FIR on Thursday, and now a case has been registered here. An investigation has been initiated. The issue arises from a pre -financial dispute, but we are confirming the details,” an official said.
