The Andhra woman was tied to a tree, emphasized unpaid debt in the constituency of Chandrababu Naidu; Couple arrested | Bharat News

Police on Monday arrested a couple and their relatives in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh when they allegedly tied a woman to a tree and missed her on the loan of her husband, a daily wage laborer.

The incident took place in Narayanapuram village of Kuppam division, which is the constituency of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Police said a woman, known as 28 -year -old Sirisha, was dragged from her home in front of her two children by S Manikappa, a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) member, on Monday on Monday.

According to police, the woman’s husband R Timappa had allegedly taken a loan of Rs 80,000 from Manikappa in the same village two years ago, and was paying it in small monthly installments.

Timappa recently fled to Bengaluru, where he got work as a construction laborer, police said, he said that he had stopped paying Manikappa.

“Manikappa tied him to a tree and demanded money.

Sirisha and her children also allegedly fled to Bengaluru, and she returned to her village on Monday to get a school transfer certificate for her.

A viral video of the incident that appeared on Tuesday shows Manikappa’s wife Munmama slapping and kills Sirisha despite stopping the villagers.

Police said Manikappa and five members of his family and relatives have been arrested in the case.
