On Wednesday, Chief Minister Manik Saha said that more than 19,000 jobs have been provided during the BJP -led government rule in Tripura.
“We have provided around 19,800 jobs so far. Also, there are contracted, outsourcing employees … around 700-800 employees … so that government work can be done smoothly. Our Prime Minister always talks about employment. I have also said whether they are engineers, doctors or teachers, they will have to develop their skills,” they were told by those who report them in Aman.
His statement came a day later when his cabinet announced the recruitment drive to fill more than 1,600 posts in various departments.
Saha further said that his government focuses on developing skills, focusing on employment and he is working in this direction.
He said, “An atmosphere has been created for EK Tripura Sris Tripura.
Amid allegations from the opposition CPM, the Chief Minister’s comments come that the state government has failed to address employment issues and Tripura is struggling with food and lack of work, especially in the hilly areas.
