A party source said, “According to the Hindu calendar in the organizational elections in more states, the wishes of the period are likely to end on July 4; we hope that the entire organizational overhaul of the party would have completed within the month of Sawan in early August.”
“All the state presidents approved the senior BJP leadership appointed so far; it seems that the party is still to reach the consensus with the RSS, as far as the appointments of presidents of important states like UP, Gujarat and Karnataka are concerned,” another source said.
According to the BJP’s constitution, organizational elections move below and up. When half of the booth-level President is elected, Mandal elections have started. Along with half the mandatory presidents appointed, the party starts district elections, and when half the district presidents are announced, the party appoints the state president. BJP national president is elected after being appointed as half President of the state.
