On Saturday, a helicopter carrying five passengers to Kedarnath had to make a quick landing on a highway in Uttarakhand.
Officials said the helicopter hit a technical tingling during the take-off, indicating precautionary landing on the road. A parked vehicle on the highway was damaged.
According to DGCA, the helicopter belonging to Crestle Aviation Private Limited developed a technical obstacle during the take-off on Saturday afternoon. District Tourism Development Officer, Rahul Choubey said that the pilot felt an emergency landing on the nearby road, realizing the situation of time, which increased a major accident.
He said, “The pilot suffered minor injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital. On receiving information about the incident, the district administration sent a team to the site.”
Choubey said that the helicopter was taking off the board with five passengers in Barsu for Kedarnath Dham with his Aadhaar with five passengers and the pilot saw an empty road stretch nearby to complete an emergency landing. The state government said in a statement, “All five passengers aboard the helicopter are safe. The incident has not affected the ongoing Heli shuttle services.”

The CEO of UCADA, Sonika, said that the Civil Aviation Development Authority of Uttarakhand (UCADA) has informed the Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation.
