The arrangement of the Rath Yatra in Puri and the stampede outside the Gundcha temple, which claimed three lives, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday announced several measures for the temple city and rolled the ball for “Improvements in Civic Administration System”.

Facing criticism on poor mob management during the Gundcha Yatra on 27 June, delay in pulling Lord Jagannath and stampede chariots, the declaration of the middle government is seen as an attempt to show its commitment to the temple city, which is always focusing on gradual governments due to its religious importance.

Police Director General YB Khurania said, “According to whatever arrangements are necessary for the Bahuda Yatra, I urge the people coming to the fairy to follow the advice issued by the administration.”

Police sources said that there is also a large -scale security and traffic system for the hearing saved (gods’ golden dress) on Sunday, a ritual of the Rath Yatra that attracts the most people.
