A senior doctor teaching at a medical college in Raipur has allegedly booked to harass a student. Police said the doctor was called for questioning on Saturday.
According to the police, a complaint was filed against the senior doctor on Friday night, after which Section 74 (with the intention of offending his Vinay, an attack or use or criminal force was used on the woman) and 75 (sexual harassment), Indian judge Sanhita, 2023.
A senior police officer said, “The incident took place between 2 to 10 January this year. The doctor has been accused of obscene acts. The victim has complained to the college officials, after which disciplinary action was taken and the accused doctor was removed from the post of hoard. The victim now decided to file a police complaint.”
On contact, Dean of the Medical College said, “We have not received any information from the police and the student has not informed us that she is contacting the police.
