A 30 -year -old tourist from France has filed a rape complaint against an employee of an event management company in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
According to the FIR, the alleged incident took place on 22 June, and the FIR was filed at around 11 am the next day.
The woman has said that she reached Udaipur from Delhi on 22 June. She has alleged that when she was having dinner in a cafe, a man, who says an event management company, came to her table and interacted before suggesting that they go for a ride in their car.
In his complaint, he alleged, “I reached Udalpur by bus from Delhi. I was there for a holiday. At night, my friend and I went to dinner. In the evening, a man came to our table. He proposed that we go out for a smoke, and then took me on a drive.”
“I requested him several times to go home (in my hotel), but instead he took me to his apartment. There, he started asking me to hug me, which I refused. My phone was closed. I asked me to recharge my phone many times, but he did not give me a cable, he started touching me, I asked for him to take him home.
After reaching the hotel, she met her friends, who took her to the police station.
Superintendent of Police, Udaipur, Yogesh Goyal recognized the accused as a Siddharth. “We have given a medical examination and recorded the statements of the people going to him. The accused is still absconding, and the police is trying to find him. We hope we will catch him soon. The victim, along with other French women, was visiting the city, while the accused works in an incident management company,” Goyal said.
