India block parties wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding a special session of Parliament to discuss the post -terrorist attack in Pahgam, opposition parties on Wednesday asked the government to announce the dates of the monsoon session that it was done to reduce the demand for a particular session.
The letters were signed by all other India block parties, except AAP and NCP (SP) under the leadership of Sharad Pawar. The AAP has been sent a separate letter to increase the same demand.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced on Wednesday that the monsoon session of Parliament would begin on July 21 and end on August 12.
Criticizing the government’s action, Jayram Ramesh, in -charge in the Congress communication, said that “the dates of the Parliament session are usually declared a few days ago”.
Ramesh said, “But this time, the dates were announced 47 days before the commencement of the session – it had never happened before.” He alleged that the decision was taken by the government to avoid the demand of India alliance to call only a particular special session of Parliament.

The Congress MP said, “Serious issues, including government failure, should be discussed in Parliament for the explicit politicization of terrorists responsible for the Pahgam attack, the impact of Operation Sindoor and the position that arises the afternoon and the clear politicization of Operation Sindoor,” said the Congress MP.
Ramesh said, “All these issues, which are of the highest national interest, will focus on discussion during the monsoon session. After six weeks, the Prime Minister will have to answer some difficult questions.”

Samajwadi Party MP Javed Ali Khan said that the government wants to reduce the demand of the opposition for a special session “. “This is unprecedented,” he said.
The TMC parliamentary leader at the Rajya Sabha Derek O’Brien said “the government is scared”.
“Typically, a Parliament session is announced around 19 days. This time, he announced it 47 days further. So scared,” O’Brien said.
AIMIM chief and MP Asadduddin Owaisi said that during the monsoon session, there should be a debate on Pahalgam attacks, alleged security lapses and accountable people for it.

AAP Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh said that the monsoon session is a regular session, and the government was no longer a favor by announcing it. Singh said, “We will continue our demand to discuss issues related to Pakistan (Parliament).”
RSP MP NK Premchandran also criticized government action.
