A person from Uttarakhand, a Uttarakhand, was rescued on Wednesday from Dinwal village of Taran Taran in Taran Taran district of Punjab to work as a bonded laborer in Chamoli, Uttarakhand.
The man, who had been allegedly working as a bonded laborer for 15 years, was rescued after a video of him in the shed, inspiring Uttarakhand’s political leaders and Chief Minister Pushkar Dhammi to look for the intervention of Punjab Governor Gulab Lick Kataria.
In his post on the first X in the day, Garhwal MP Anil Baluni said that he had spoken to Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria to search for a safe return of Rajesh. He said, “The Hon’ble Governor expressed concern over the issue and assured me that after a thorough investigation of the incident, Rajesh’s location would be tracked and rescued and taken to his original village as soon as possible,” he said that the Director General of Punjab had informed about the incident.
Soon after, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s office also announced that he had taken cognizance of the incident and was in the cattle shed Taran Taran.
In Punjab, Governor Kataria directed Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav to take early action, the police detected the victim within hours and saved him. According to officials, the youth were forced to work in cattle sheds, which were the most disgusting and exploiting conditions for cattle.
Officials said a case was registered against the cattle shed operator.
According to district officials in Chamoli, Rajesh left his village in 2008. Chamoli District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari said that the officials were trying to bring him back to the village.

Meanwhile, Pankaj Bhatt, magistrate of Tharali sub-division, visited the house where Rajesh’s family lives. He said, “I talked to DM with my sister -in -law after directions, and said that Rajesh had left 17 years ago. I spoke to the head of the NGO and will be brought back in a week,” he said.
Later in the evening in a post, Baluni said: “Thanks for quick intervention and Intense The action of Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, a youth of Narayan Bagar area in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand was rescued from bonded labor after 15 years.
