The Tripura government on Sunday issued forecast for all eight districts of the state in the last two days in view of heavy rainfall and more rainfall in the next 24 hours.
Revenue Secretary Brijesh Pandey said, “The state government is committed to ensuring safety and welfare of all citizens and is actively coordinating with all departments to reduce relief, restoration and risk.”
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha also said that he was reviewing the flood situation, and the Revenue Secretary was in touch with all the District Magistrates.
The Revenue Secretary said that 14 rescue teams have been deployed at various places in West Tripura and Unakoti districts.
Eleven teams have been deployed in the West Tripura district, two of which are from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), which consists of three from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Assam Rifles and each team from fire and emergency services, and four teams include civil defense, AAPDA Mitra, and Bharat Scouts and Guides.

Three teams posted in Unakoti district are from one NDRF, and two teams include civil defense and AAPDA Mitra Swayamsevaks.
Pandey also said that 60 relief camps were going on across the state – 48 in West Tripura, three out of three, Khaui and Unakoti districts, and six in North Tripura district. According to the latest reports, about 10,600 people from 2,800 families have been transferred to these camps.

He said 201 houses – 92 were severely damaged and partially damaged – the state has been damaged due to bad weather in the last two days.
Pandey further said that the river Howrah was flowing at a height of 10.91 meters above the danger mark near Augustla at 5 pm, but the water level started later in the evening.
Meanwhile, due to continuous rainfall, Tripura Central University has postponed all graduates, B.T. and Diploma examinations to be held between 2-4 June.
In the West Tripura district, Bodhjungnagar received the highest rainfall (198.5 mm) in the state in the last 48 hours, followed by Kailshar (192.2 mm) in Unakoti district, Jirania (175.5 mm) in western Tripura, and state capital (140 mm).
