The Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal on Tuesday protested against the allegedly outrageous remarks of Lord Hanuman made by former CPM MP Shankar Prasad Dutta. He burnt Dutt in the pupil and demanded that he apologizes for allegedly made while speaking at a city conference two days ago.

“A few days ago, the CPM leader called Lord Hanuman ‘Shonda’ (Bully). Hanumanji is our deity. Opposing against it, we burnt his effigy. We will tell Hanuman Chalisa in front of his house and we will force him to apologize to Hanumanji and God.”

A group of BJP workers visited Dutta’s house and offered him a portrait of Lord Hanuman and Hanuman Chalisa.
“(CPM) has made derogatory remarks about Hinduism on many occasions. The BJP has brought people out from dark to light. We came to his house with Hanuman Chalisa today. We will pray that he should receive knowledge and Lord Hanuman forgives him,” a BJP activist said.
