Tripura CM Saha is related to pass rate in teacher eligibility test

Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha expressed concern over the low pass percentage in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the Teacher Recruitment Board on Wednesday, but said that there was no irregularity in question papers.

As per the results announced on Tuesday, only 458 candidates out of 8,240 (5.56 percent) approved TET-I, while 1,589 (4.92 percent) out of 32,286 candidates passed TET-II, which increased the alarm between job aspirations and education authorities. TET-I qualified candidates are eligible to teach jobs for classes 1 to 5 classes, while TET-II qualifiers can teach class 6 to 8.

Talking to reporters about the issue, CM Saha, who is also the head of the education department, said, “Perhaps they (Tate Aspirant) are not satisfied, and they have the right to question.

CM Saha said that the government will investigate the issue about the TET examination to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying issues. He said that it is common to have doubts during state-level or national level examinations. In this situation, the candidates are encouraged to seek assistance from the appropriate source, he said.

A few days ago, several TET candidates protested against the Tripura TRB office in some answer key of the examination in the capital city.

Meanwhile, CM Saha praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Ek paid mother’s name’ (a tree for mother) campaign and said that the tree is the tree “mother of nature” for his necessary role in maintaining the tree.
