The state’s Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) said that at least 840 people from 250 families went to 16 relief camps, mostly in Sarbarabazar and Belonia subdivisions in South Tripura district, as heavy rains on Wednesday provoked various parts of Tripura.
A report by SEOC did not mention any damage to uproot homes, or trees and electric poles. On July 4, there was no reported death of drowning in West Tripura district.
Reports of various parts of Gomti and Sipahjala districts show that the water levels in the rivers and the streams are increasing after heavy rains. The water level in the Muhuri river crossed the critical level, although it was said that the previous danger had come down from the mark, even the Downpore continues to add volume to the river.
Logung, Feni and other rivers in South Tripura district are flowing below the expected flood levels. In northern Tripura and Dhalai districts, water, such as the jury and Manu, were flowing above the expected flood level. In Sipahjala district, the Bijoy River was flowing above the expected flood level.
The Meteorological Department of India (IMD) has estimated heavy rainfall in South Tripura, with very heavy rainfall in parts of the district. Similar weather predictions have been released for Gomti, Sepahijala and West Tripura districts.

The government on Wednesday coordinated the early mock drill across the state. The drill included personnel from the event response system (IRS); NDRF; SDRF; Army; Assam Rifles; BSF; CRPF; Public sector undertakings ONGC, GAIL, Napco, TNGCL and OTPC; And NGOs, as well as Civil Defense, AAPDA Mitra, and Community Swayamsevaks.
