The founder-chief of the Tamilga Vatri Kazagam, actor-royalty Vijay on Sunday slammed the DMK rule on “Custodial Deaths” and alleged that “empty, promotional-model DMK government has now turned into a regret model government.”
Addressing TVK’s protest rally here, Vijay said that Custodial torture victim Ajit Kumar asked an ordinary family and the Chief Minister apologized to the victim’s family and it is appropriate.
Clade in Black, Vijay organized a placard, in which it was written, “Sorry Vendom, Needi Vandom (we want justice, not sorry).” The TV chief asked whether Stalin had said “sorry” for families of all 24 victims of alleged custodial torture since 2021.
“Please forgive all of them; In addition, did you give Solatium to the families of all 24 victims? Please provide them Solatium too,” he said.
When the then AIADMK regime transferred the SATHANKUM case (in which P Jeyaraj and his son J Benniks were allegedly killed by the police in 2020), Stalin said that it was an insult to the Tamil Nadu police, Vijay claimed.
The head of the running party wondered whether the DMK government, which had transferred the Ajit Kumar Custodial Death case to the CBI a few days ago, did not cause the same insult and said that both examples were only one.
