Inaugurating a CCTV surveillance system with an integrated command and control center for Vaishno Devi Shrine, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that “state -of -the -art technology” would ensure a hassle -free pilgrimage with real -time monitoring and mob management.
According to a statement, the system has features such as AI-based analytics and gesture recognition, automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), facial identification, an intrusion system and mob management equipment.
Seven sub-control centers along with an Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) and pilgrimage route located in Katra have been established for localized monitoring and coordination, ensuring 24 × 7 monitoring of all weak and high-proclaimed areas and are compelled to the early reaction to crowd build-up, security violations and medical.
The statement stated that more than 700 cameras have been deployed, including 170 new high-definition cameras and integration of more than 500 existing cameras, including all important and weak places.
