As a sea of humanity, including many generations, which he inspired as a witness, the mortal remains of prestigious communist leader vs Achuthanandan were preserved for flames at the ValiChudukadu burial ground in Alappuzha on Wednesday -1146 Pannapra-Vayyalar and many other government heads.
Achuthanandan’s funeral pyre was burnt by his son or Arunkumar late in the night as thousands of party workers and leaders shouted the leaders with fist “Bahadur Comrade vs, you live through us.”
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his cabinet colleagues, CPI (M) general secretary MA Baby, MLA, Leaders of various political parties gave a heroic farewell to Achuthanandan, the last of the founding leaders of CPI (M).
Earlier in the day, Achuthanandan’s body, who died on Monday when three months left for him, was brought to his hometown Alappuzha.

The low-mangle bus decorated with a flower, which was converted into a horse, had a difficult time through the warmth and love of thousands, to give the last “red salute” to finalize both sides of the road. The common man from distant areas of the state threw the leader on the road to give “red salute”, known as the common man’s beloved and the champion of his causes.
The cortage took 22 hours to cover a distance of about 150 kilometers from Thiruvananthapuram to Alappuzha.

After the cortage reached Alappuzhi around the afternoon, the body was taken to his Velikakathu home in Pannpara, where VS’s wife Vasumathy and other family members gave a tear -filled order.
Later, the body was taken to the office of Alappuzha District Committee of CPI (M), which was VS’s second home during the early years of political life at the undivided Communist Party.
Before going to the Valiyachudukadu burial ground, the body was placed in a sea shore to publicly watch, where thousands of people queued up heavy rains to bid farewell to VS.

The 40 percent of the burial ground, close to the Communist heart, is the relaxed place of the 1946 Pannapra-Vayalar rebellion and many early leaders of the Communist movement such as TV Thomas, KR Gourayamma, PT Pannose, R Sugathan and PK Chandraranandan.

Achuthanandan remembered that he was inspired by political works by Thomas and Sugathan, others. His pyre was arranged near the resting site of Thomas and Pannoz.
Every year, vs are used to pay tribute to the martyrs at the memory of the incident in October. The last time he visited Valiyachudukadu, during the annual memory in October 2019 and this was his last public work, before he was a bedied.
