YSRCP MP Midhun Reddy arrested India News in Andhra Rs 3,200 crore in 'liquor scam'

The Andhra Pradesh Police on Saturday arrested YSRCP Lok Sabha member PV Midhun Reddy in a liquor scam of Rs 3,200 crore during the last YSRCP rule in the last YSRCP rule.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) today investigated Grilled Midhun Reddy for several hours of alleged liquor scam and followed it with its arrest at around 7.30 am in Vijayawada.

“Yes (he is arrested). The process (to produce it before a court) is going on,” Home Minister Vangalpuri Anitha told PTI over the phone.

Midhun Reddy represents the Rajampet constituency in Andhra Pradesh.

The YSRCP leader first reached Vijayawada to participate in the investigation and his inquiry comes in view of the arrest of other accused persons -Khunjay Reddy, Krishna Mohan Reddy and Balaji Govindappa.

Meanwhile, the opposition party slammed Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to incite ‘false’ cases against people close to YSRCP supremo YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The case against Mithun Reddy is part of a big Vandana’s conspiracy to arrest those who are close to the leadership of the party, senior YSRCP leader Malladi Vishnu said in a release.
