Abhishek Banerjee, a member of the government's all-party global outreach, asks: '33 countries visited, how much supported India? , Bharat News

The Trinmool Congress (TMC) National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee, who was part of all party delegations traveling abroad to express India’s stand on terrorism, questioned the effectiveness of these trips on Monday, while the Pahgam Terror pointed to the Center on the attack.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his return to less than a week of meeting all delegations after his return, Abhishek said: “After reaching 33 countries in the last one month, how much explicit support in India?”

Saying that his concerns reflected the reactions and questions received from members and citizens of civil society in five Asian countries, his delegation visited his delegation, Abhishek spoke about “lack of accountability and transparency by the government” by the government “except 26 dead”.

In a comprehensive post, Abhishek raised four other areas of concern besides diplomacy. On border violations and civic casualties, he demanded to find out how four terrorists “managed to infiltrate” and carried out the attack. The TMC leader said that there should be accountability for “massive violations in national security”.

Speaking on the “intelligence ‘behind the attack, Abishek questioned the one year expansion given to Tapan Kumar Deka, head of the Intelligence Bureau (IB). “If it was an intelligence failure, why was the IB chief a one -year expansion … Why was he rewarded instead of being accountable? What is the compulsion?” Abhishek posted.

He said: “If the Government of India can easily use Pagasus spyware against opposition leaders (including me), journalists and even judges, what does it prevent from using the same equipment against terrorist networks and suspects?”

On the status of the initiative terrorists, Abhishek sought clarity on the fate of the four responsible for “cruel, religious genocide”. They asked whether they were dead or alive, and if they were ineffective, why did the government fail to issue a clear statement. He also questioned the silence of the government if he was not yet caught.

Abhishek asked that when India had intended to “recover” Pakistan, he captured Kashmir (POK) and the government did not officially respond to US President Donald Trump’s claim that he made a ceasefire between India and Pakistan after Operation Sindoor with business promises. The ceasefire “disregarded … the feelings of 140 million Indians”, Abhishek said, and asked what happened due to such “compromise” after the nation was united behind the armed forces.

He said that it was surprising that India, despite being one of the largest economies in the world, and the Centers, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank presented the country as a “world guru”, approved significant financial assistance and long -term investment to Pakistan soon after the attack. He questioned how a nation “repeatedly involved in cross-border terrorism” survived the global investigation and seems to be rewarded, and Pakistan was appointed as the Vice President of the Anti-Terrorism Committee of the United Nations Security Council.

Abhishek concluded his position by spending more than Rs 2 lakh crore on external matters in the last 10 years, saying that “the Indian public is transparency, accountability and result – not silence and spin”.

Following the post of TMC leader on X, its Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien released a video supporting him. He said, “Someone needed to call this government. Some needed to justify this government. Some needed to ask five direct questions,” he said, the government’s silence on these important issues was unacceptable.

Abhishek was a part of the delegation led by JD (U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, and as part of his tour, traveled to Japan on 21 May, followed by South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. Other members of his delegation included former diplomat Mohan Kumar; BJP MPs Brij Lal, Aparajita Sarrangi, State Barua and Hemang Joshi; And CPI (M) MP John Britis.

Abhishek was initially not one of the members of the delegation declared by the government, who instead elected cricketer-politics and Baharampur MP Yusuf Pathan to represent TMC. After criticizing the Center for not consulting TMC, party chief Mamta Banerjee withdrew the name of Pathan and sent Abhishek as his replacement.
