A senior police officer said on Tuesday that the toll in the explosion at Sigachi Industries’s pharma plant in Pashmilram has increased to 34.
District Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj told PTI, “Many bodies have been found under the rubble while removing it. 31 bodies have been evacuated from the rubble, while three have died, while three have to go through a period of treatment. The final phase of the rescue operation is still going on.”
The Chief Minister will visit the accident site on Tuesday morning, a Revantha Reddy, C. Damodar Rajnarasimha said.
