Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday called the three new criminal laws the biggest reform in independent India and said that he would not only make the judicial process cheap and accessible but also simple, from time to time and transparent.

Shah insisted that the PM Narendra Modi-Nedic government government has made new laws-BNS, BNSS and BSA-to ensure that all the rights of the citizens are protected and no criminal is unpublished.

Addressing an incident marking a year of one year of three laws, Shah said, “These laws are going to change the criminal justice system significantly in the country. He said, “This was an era of ‘Tarih Pe Tarih’ (frequent adjournment). But after full implementation of three new laws, if you file an FIR in any corner of the country, you will get justice to the Supreme Court within three years,” he said.

Shah also expressed confidence that after fully enforcing new criminal laws, “the punishment rate will be higher than any other country in the world, our judicial system will be the most modern system in the world, and technology will be the most used in India”.

He said that under the new laws, forensic evidence has been made compulsory for all cases where there is a provision of sentence of seven years.

Shah said that in the coming days, the country’s criminal justice system will enter a new era and it will definitely succeed in changing the spirit of ‘what is the use of a cedar’ that ‘if we file a cedar, justice will be distributed immediately’.
