The Chinese Embassy said on Sunday that issues related to Tibet, including the rebirth of the Dalai Lama, are a “fork” in the India-China bilateral relations and have become “burden” for New Delhi.
The comment came ahead of the Foreign Minister’s visit to China to China to participate in a concluding one conclusion of the SCO.
This will be Jaishankar’s first visit to China since the 2020 military deadlock with lakhs in eastern Ladakh.
In the last few months, India and China have taken several measures to repair bilateral relations after completing the dissolution of soldiers from the last two face-off sites in October last year.
Earlier this month, the Dalai Lama said that a belief of the Tibetan Buddhists would have the only right to recognize their future rebirth. China angrily reacted to the Dalai Lama’s comment.

In a social media post on Sunday, Chinese Embassy spokesman U Jing said that members of strategic and educational communities, including former officials, made “unfair comments” about the rebirth of the Dalai Lama, which were “opposite” to the public trend of the Government of India.
