San Rachel, a model for inclusion in the Indian beauty industry and a vocal lawyer, allegedly died of suicide at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (Zipper) in Puducherry. She was 26 years old.

According to police sources, Rachel was admitted to Zipper after his health deteriorated after overdose of gold bullets on 5 July. He was initially treated at the General Hospital of Indira Gandhi government and later admitted to a private hospital in Mulkulam before Zipper was transferred. A post mortem examination is scheduled for Monday.

An alleged suicide note recovered from his father’s house said that no one should be held responsible for his death. Officials said that the Tehsildar-level investigation has been ordered to investigate the circumstances.

Born in Puducherry and Grow -Badhi, Rachel lost his mother at an early age and brought his father, D Gandhi, 57. With his encouragement, he entered the modeling world and increased prominence despite early rejection due to his skin tone – an experience that later shaped activeness.

She won several regional and national beauty titles, including Miss Dark Queen Tamil Nadu (2019), Miss Best Attitude (2019), Miss Puducherry (2020/2021), and Queen of Madras (2022 and 2023). She was runner -up in Miss Africa Golden India (2023). He represented India in the events of London, Germany, France and South Africa.

Roshel was also the founder of Rose Noor fashion grooming, a pageant and modeling mentorship platform. On social media, she often used her visibility to challenge colorism and promote self-acceptance among young women.

She was recently married and was living with her husband in Puducherry.
