Officials said on Wednesday that a nine -year -old girl from Rajasthan’s Sikar died of a heart arrest, when she was opening her lunch box in school, officials said on Wednesday.
Class 4 student Prachi Kumawat died during lunch break. Nand Kishore, Principal of the Adarsh Vidya Mandir in Danta, Sikar, said, “It happened around 11 am on Tuesday … he dropped his lunchbox and collapsed. We were in the school ground at that time, so we took him to the hospital.”
Kishore said, “Students are not unconscious students and children usually recover when we give them some water. However, her position was different. So, we took her to the Community Health Center (CHC), which is about 500 meters away. There, the medical staff took care of her and she was reunited in the beginning.”
He said that CHC employees sent him to a hospital in Sikar and put him in a government ambulance. “However, she was again attacked again, and this time the doctors injected him and sent him to the ambulance. We do not know whether she reached the hospital or not, but the ambulance left at 12:15 pm. Around 1:30 pm, we discovered that he had passed away,” the principal said.
“She was just a child. She was smart and knew the table till 40. She was a cheerful and lively child. Even if we scolded her, he used to smile,” Kishore said. Prachi’s funerals were performed at around 4 pm on Tuesday.
Danta posted at Danta CHC. RK Jungid said, “Prima Fachai, the child had a heart attack. He suddenly arrested the heart in school.” The doctor said that a post -mortem was not operated, the CHC doctors concluded that it was a heart attack and took measures that briefly improved his position. “We gave him oxygen and made cardiac residence. We then sent him to Sri Kalyan (Sarkar) Hospital in Sikar, but he died before reaching the hospital.”
Dr. Jangid said that the girl did not have a history of congenital heart disease or heart diseases. Principal Kishore said that Prachi’s father works in a private office in Gujarat.
