The 22 -year -old, which is in the last week of pregnancy, said that development came after the local Congress MLA raised the matter. “Today, some people came and started construction work near my village,” Leela told The Indian Express. “I came to know that this was the local MLA, Ajay Singh Rahul, who took the initiative. They are now trying to fix the worst parts of the road so that at least vehicles can go inside and out.”

MLA from Churat Assembly constituency Ajay confirmed that the repair was being done on his initiative. “When this woman talked about her plight, the local MP said he would transport it on his fixed date. It was unfortunate, and I thought, let me do at least something so that I can pass through the vehicle. I have been trying for a year to build this road, but no one listened. So, I am building a few kilometers with my own resources.”
