The Communist Party of India (CPI) on Friday passed a resolution for the special intensive amendment of the Election Commission (EC) Election roll Pol-bound in Bihar.

“EC should do with Bihar assembly elections Roll ready For the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 and only new names of those aged 18 years, the proposal to fully prepare new voter lists within a short period of one or two months is impractical and (will) is deprived of many eligible voters (their right to vote), ”the proposal said.

Unanimously resolution – which echoes the concerns of the opposition India block – was passed at a meeting of the National Council of CPI held in New Delhi from 1 July to 3 July.

At the meeting of the National Council, Raja presented the political resolution to be presented before the party Congress to be held in Chandigarh from 21 to 25 September. The meeting was chaired by Ram Krishna Panda, Secretary, CPI National Council.

Drafting political resolution also supported the national strike of 9 July called by Central Trade Unions, and supported by Samyukta Kisan Morcha and Agricultural Workers’ organizations.

The CPI National Council demanded adequate compensation for crops and property lost due to heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh, and expressed concern that the Indo-US trade deal would “destroy the farmers of India, destroy the financial sector, and exploit the youth of the country and eradicate India’s sovereignty.”
