The Supreme Court will hear the challenge in Bihar for the election role of the Election Commission of Election Commission in Bihar.
Bihar sir voter list line hearing live update: The Supreme Court on Thursday heard the arguments to challenge the decision of the Election Commission (ECI) of India for a special intensive amendment (SIR) of the election role in Bihar. The arguments will be heard by a bench of Supreme Court Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia and a bench of Jomalya Bagchi. The petitioners said in their arguments that the practice reduces the principles of independent and fair elections and representative democracy, integral features of both the basic structure of the Constitution, which by introducing arbitrary, inappropriate and disorganized documentation requirements related to birth, residence and citizenship.
Bihar supported by closed political parties: The daily life was interrupted in Bihar on Wednesday, when opposition parties in the state protested against the amendment of the poll-bound in the state. Mahagatthanan organized a bandh in Bihar on 9 July, in which Lok Sabha Lop Rahul Gandhi led the protest march, with Tejashvi Yadav of RJD and D Raja of CPI. Gandhi accused the Election Commission of “serving BJP instead of serving people”, and accused the ruling party of trying to repeat the “Maharashtra model” in Bihar.

CEC says people participate enthusiastically: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanash Kumar said that the voters of Bihar are enthusiastically participating in the special intensive amendment (SIR) of the voters list. Kumar said that as a result of the enthusiastic participation of the voters of Bihar, there has been a successful collection of more than 57 percent till Wednesday under the ongoing head in the state, still with 16 days of practice.
