Officials said on Sunday that the flood situation in Assam respectively decreased by about 3.37 lakhs in the affected population and 12 districts respectively in the area.
An official bulletin said that this year’s floods and landslides have a total death of 23, with six killed in Madslides till Saturday.
Major rivers, including Brahmaputra, were on a recurrence, although some of these continued to flow above the danger mark.
Subsequently, the ferry services that were suspended from last week will be partially restored on the Brahmaputra during the day.
Brahmaputra was flowing at the danger level in Dhubri, Kopili in Dharmatul, Barak in BP Ghat and Kushiara in Sribhumi till Saturday evening.

Two districts are still running again under ‘urban floods’, affecting 284 people.
Officials said that Kaziranga National Park and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary were also affected by floods.
Meanwhile, boating services at Brahmaputra in Guwahati will be partially resumed on Sunday, an inland water transport (IWT) department said.

The Guwahati -Madhyaam Khanda Ferry Service will temporarily operate the Guwahati Rajaduar Ferry Ghat, until the approach to the North Bank is restored to the road and the boat is considered safe for passengers.
Guwahati -Kuru Pheri Seva will resume on Monday.
The IWT release said that the operation of wooden boats in the Guwahati area would be prohibited and the decision to resume their services will be taken after reviewing the river status.
