Pahgam terrorist attack;, US President Donald Trump claimed to have porridge the India-Pakistan ceasefire, and the Election Commission has intensive amendments to the electoral rolls in Bihar-these are some of the major issues that Congress plans to lift during the monsoon session of Parliament from July 21 to August 12.
Along with late raised questions about the future of India block, the top leadership of the Congress is also learned that “better coordination” with both its opposition partners inside and outside Parliament. This time it is planning to reach them to discuss the issues raised in the house.
Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi chaired the meeting of the party’s parliamentary strategy group on Tuesday at his 10, Janpath Niwas. The meeting was attended by leaders of the protest of both houses – Rahul Gandhi and Mallikrajun Kharge – KC Venugopal, P Chidambaram, K Suresh, Tariq Anwar, Kumari Selja, Manish Tiwari and Jeram Ramesh and other senior leaders.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, the Congress Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha Pramod Tiwari said, “Our first priority is to demand an answer on the Pahgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor. Why are the US Presidents repeatedly making the same claim? He said that he was responsible for the conflict between India and Pakistan?”
“We will ask the government: Who is responsible, why terrorists are not being caught. We hope the government will answer.” He said that the election roll revision of the pole panel in Bihar would also be discussed, which he called a “danger” to democracy.
Sources said that the Congress will call a meeting of India Block leaders in Delhi on 19 July. A source present at Tuesday’s meeting said, “The purpose of the meeting is that we want better coordination this time. The issues we raise in the upcoming session are very important because they worry about national security. The opposition needs to speak in one voice.”
The upcoming Parliament session will be the first since the Pahalgam attack on 22 April, killing 25 tourists and a local Ponywallah. Soon after the attack, the opposition parties repeatedly called for a special session of Parliament, in which the top leaders of the India Block write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 2 June. Two India Block Parties – AAP and NCP (SP) -DID do not sign the letter.

Tiwari said that the Congress would also discuss the issue of impeachment motion against former Delhi High Court Judge Justice Yashwant Verma, from which the pile of residence of currency notes was allegedly recovered.
He said that on other issues that the opposition would be highlighted, Jammu -Kashmir, security of women, farmers crisis and Ahmedabad aircraft accident will be involved in the state.
