Former Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardan Shringla, Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, Kerala BJP leader C Sadanandan Master and historian Meenakshi Jain have been nominated in Rajya Sabha in the case of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
In a notification issued late on Saturday night, the Union Home Ministry said that the President has nominated four in the Rajya Sabha.
“In the practice of powers provided by sub-section (A) of Article 80 of Article 80 of the Constitution of India, read with section (3) of that article, the President has pleased to nominate the following persons to fill the vacancies caused by the retirement of the nominated members:- Mr. Ujwal Derao M. Meenakshi Jain,” said notice.
The President nominates 12 people in the Rajya Sabha, who are abundant people in various fields.
