Indian Railway Train Ticket Booking: Indian Railways (IR) is specially set to launch a dedicated online train ticket booking portal for Parliament (MPS). The objective of this step is to streamline the arrangement of the journey and enable uninterrupted ticket booking for both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
On Wednesday (23 July), in the written reply to the Lok Sabha, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav confirmed the development. He informed the House that the process of developing a software to facilitate booking of train tickets reserved for railway MPs.
Vaishnav said, “Software has been developed for booking online tickets while sitting with former MPs. This will provide them to book/cancel the ticket online as per their convenience.”
Minister was responding to a query from Congress MP MK Raghavan, who tried to find out if the government has planned to present a special online ticket booking forum for MPs for easy travel arrangements.

According to the Railways, members of Parliament (MPS) are entitled to travel in the first class air -conditioned or executive class, in any train, at any place at any place on IR. They are also eligible to get a free air -conditioned two Tier Railway Pass for a person along with the MP.
MP’s spouse AC First Class / Executive Class in his home town to New Delhi any time despite the fact that Parliament is in session.
