It is our right not to beg here, it is our right: Farooq on the demand of the state. Bharat News

Demanding that the state of Jammu and Kashmir should be restored immediately, former CM Farooq Abdullah said on Wednesday that the 2019 decision to cancel Article 370 was “illegal” and “unconstitutional” and emphasized that the distance between Delhi and Kashmir has “never reduced”.

In a public meeting held for human rights for the forum in Jammu and Kashmir in Delhi, Abdullah, who is also a neckdullah, said, “Is this Article 370 or State, the original issue is that the distance between Delhi and Kashmir has never reduced. The day we have become a part of India, there is no belief.

On the demand of the state, he said: “We are not here to beg here. It is our right as Indians. To restore our kingdom. What you have done is unconstitutional. The Governor himself said that he does not know the law – is it that how do you finish a state?”

“Today, through which language we see, we talk to which language, which religion we are related to. This is not my India. Despite sharing a religious identity with Pakistan, we chose Gandhi. I wish those leaders can get up from their graves what India has become …” Abdullah said.

J&K Deputy CM Surinder Choudhary has described the current status of the region: “India calls J&K its head – but that head has a serious injury.” He said, “I still do not understand that a state has been converted into a municipality.”

Celebration offer

Referring to the Supreme Court’s decision, Article 370 maintaining cancellation, Congress MP Manish Tiwari said, “SC said that proper procedure was not followed in removing Article 370, but still retained it … It is a decision that needs to be reviewed.”

CPI (M) leader Yusuf Tarigami said, “What is the status of our assembly? On July 13, the CM was closed. The houses of the elected representatives were bolted. Has this happened anywhere else?”
