Before departing for the United Kingdom as part of his visit to his two countries on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that his visit in Britain is for prosperity, development and employment creation in both countries. The cabinet on Tuesday approved the FTA between India and the UK, signed in London on 24 July.
Officials said that in addition to the FTA’s expected signature ceremony with the UK, which was concluded in May this year, New Delhi will also increase the issue of pro -Khalistan extremism and fugitive economic criminals.

After the UK, PM travels to Maldives to attend the 60th Independence Day celebrations of the country as a guest honor. There is also a 60th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between India and Maldives this year.
