Mohan Bhagwat to talk about Indianization in education at Kerala Conference. Bharat News

More than 300 top academics, including the Vice Chancellor, academics, and education ministers of states like Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Puducherry, will gather in Kaldi, Kerala after this month for a National Education Conference organized by Shiksha Sanskriti Naus.

Representatives of major spiritual and educational institutions like Gayatri Parivar, Art of Living, Ramakrishna Mission, Chinmaya Mission and Vivekananda Yoga Ansandhan Center will also participate in a four -day program from 25 to 28 July.

NYAS was established in 2007 as a outbreak of Shikha Bachao Andolan, and has since emerged as the major platform of the RSS for the educational outreach. It has been involved in promoting value-based education, textbook reforms and revival of Indian knowledge systems.

A conference called ‘Gyan Sabha’ will focus on the theme for a developed India. A major attraction will be an address by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on July 27, where he is expected to speak on the subject of Indianization in education and the widespread implementation of NEP.

Some dignitaries include AICTE President, UGC Vice Chairman, Senior Office-Bayerrs of Institutions like NITS and IIIT. NYAS general secretary Atul Kothari said that the Vice Chancellor of about 70-80 universities across India is expected to participate.

“Our main work is to bring changes in the education system, to bring Indianness to the system. And we believe that it cannot be done by an organization or organization. So we are gathering representatives from government, academics and social organizations. Whatever good work we are doing in the field of education.

Announcing the incident in Delhi on Friday, Kothari said that the purpose of the conference is to find out how education in India can become more value-based, India-centered and knowledge-oriented. Kothari said, “It aims not to oppose Western knowledge systems, but to ensure that Indian students are vested in their traditions, culture and knowledge.”

A shutdown ‘Chintan Bathak’ will appear on the first two days of the conclave (25–26 July), where select participating will discuss issues related to Indianization of the course, promoting Indian languages, moral education and integration of traditional knowledge systems. On July 28, an open session policy will be focused on discussion and cooperation.

There will also be a special session on the needs of Kerala and state education. The government led by CM Pinarayi Vijayan opposed the NEP, Kothari said, “The government there is opposing it for political reasons. They argue that they want their education based on the traditions of Kerala. We argue how it is different from India’s traditions.”

This is the first time such a large educational program by NYAS is being held in Kerala, which is Aadi Shankaracharya, whose birthplace is submerged in Kaldi spiritual and philosophical inheritance.

Speaking about the upcoming Gyan Sabha, Sanjay Swamy, the national co-convenor of the Nishka Culture Uthan Nas, said that the proposals passed during the meeting and after the conference will be made a part of a national campaign to gather suggestions after nationwide discussions. There will also be a thorough discussion on the progress, social impact and future plans of the ‘One Nation, One Nation, One Name: Bharat’ campaign being run by NYAS. Swami said, “This is not just a case of naming-it is a resolution for cultural self-awareness and liberation from the colonial mindset.” A nationwide signature campaign is being organized in support of this initiative.
