India’s per capita income has increased to Rs 1,14,710 in the financial year 2024-25. According to a report in the Lok Sabha by Finance Minister Pankaj Chaudhary, in 2014-15 per capita net national income (NNI) was Rs 72,805 at consecutive prices. This is an increase of Rs 41,905 in the last decade.
Chaudhary said in a statement: “According to the provisional estimates of the GDP issued by the Ministry of National Statistical Office, Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation (MOSPI), per capita net national income (NNI) is at ₹ 1,14,710 at continuous prices for 2024-25.”
He also said that the increase in per capita income varies in states and UTS. Moving forward, the minister said that the difference in increase in per capita income in states can be attributed to a limit of factors such as economic development, regional structure, structural inequalities and different levels of differences in governance mechanisms.
“The government has been committed to the purpose of inclusive development, as it has been reflected in its commitment to Saba Sixty, Saba development, and has introduced several target schemes aimed at reducing poverty and inequality, which is to ensure social security, to ensure social security, promote income creation and livelihood opportunities and improve the quality of weaker sections across the country.”

According to the available data, Karnataka is Rs 2,04,605 with the top ten states/UTS highest per capita income (FY24-25), followed by Rs 1,96,309, Rs 1,96,309, Rs 1,94,285 with Rs 1,87,285, Telanganana with Haryana, with Haryana with Haryana. The state with Rs 1,63,465, Uttarakhand with Rs 1,58,819, Puducherry with Rs 1,55,533, Andhra Pradesh with Rs 1,41,609 and Rs 1,35,356 with Punjab.
