Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honored on Tuesday with the Grand Collar of Brazil’s highest civilian award, National Order of the Southern Cross.
The honor was presented by Brazilian President Luiz Enecio Lula da Silva, which was in recognition of PM Modi’s remarkable contribution to strengthen bilateral relations and increase India-Brazil cooperation in major global platforms.
This is the 26th international honor given by a foreign government to PM Modi since assuming office in May 2014.
