Rajasthan takes a tragic turn: 8 drowned in Banas River, 3 rescued. Bharat News

According to police, a group of 11 people from Jaipur went for a picnic. However, some of them slipped and fell into the river while bathing. Officials said other people of the group tried to save him, but many of them drowned.

Tonk Superintendent of Police Vikas Vikas Sangwan said that three people were rescued, while eight lost their lives.

The group between 25 and 30 years reached Tonk from Hasanpura in Jaipur around noon. SP Sangwan said, “The accident took place on Tuesday afternoon in Kachcha band near Puran Banas Pulia in Sadar police station area. We have contacted the Jaipur police. All eight have been identified and their family members, relatives and friends have been informed.

The river has warning boards, but people still go there, SP said.

The deceased was identified as Naushad (35), Kasim and Farhan (age not confirmed), Hasanpura’s residents; Rizwan (26) and Ballu, residents of Ghatgate; Nawab Khan (28) and Sajid (20), residents of Penipek Kachi Basti; And Naveed (30), residents of Ramganj Bazar.

The rescued people have been recognized as all the residents of Shah Rukh (30), Salman (26) and Sameer (32), Ghatgate.

Naushad’s brother Dilshad told the media that Naushad has two children, a 14 -year -old boy and a 12 -year -old girl.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma performed the loss of life and said that the rescue operation was started as soon as the officials got information.

In a post on X, Sharma wrote, “The news of the deaths due to drowning in the Banas river located in Tonk district is extremely sad and painful. As soon as information was received about the incident, the district administration officials were instructed to conduct immediate rescue and relief.”

He said, “I pray to God to give peace to the departed souls and give strength to the bereaved families to bear the bereaved families to bear this immense sorrow.”

Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also expressed grief and urged the government to take preventive action to avoid such incidents in future.

“It is very sad and unfortunate that 8 persons died due to drowning in the Banas river in Tonk. My deep condolences are with the bereaved parents and relatives. The administration and the government should ensure that such incidents are not re -added in the future,” I am ready to give peace to the dead. ,
