Tejashvi Prasad Yadav of RJD, Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, on Wednesday allegedly responded to “discrepancies” on the idea of considering the “boycott” of the upcoming assembly elections in the state, which was not an answer to India Blok – in the Special Intensive Amendment (SIR) of the electoral rolls.
In response to a question outside the assembly – the session is currently going on – whether the opposition can boycott the elections, he said, “We can discuss this. We will discuss this with allies and people. If there is a situation when someone decides how many seats (win) do not need to be selected.”
Tejashvi is leading the opposition protests over the alleged head “discrepancies”. The roll revision was debated in the assembly on Wednesday between Deen, and the session was later postponed.
On contact, Congress Legislature Party leader Shakeel Ahmed Khan told the Indian Express, “I have not heard about what Tejashvi ji has said.” Asked whether such issues can be discussed in the meeting of the Coordination Committee of India Block, Khan said, “I don’t know at this level.”
However, another Congress leader said, “The opposition should not be encouraged to discuss the pole boycott. Finally, elections alone are the way to find answers to such questions from people alone.”
CPI (ML-Liberation) State Secretary Kunal was more direct in his response. “In the first place, we do not know where this talk of pole boycott comes from.
Tejashvi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also made a quarrel on the head in the assembly on Wednesday, later challenged him to “organize” the matter among the people in the election.
