A police officer said on Sunday that YSRCP chief and former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been nominated as an accused in a deadly road accident, allegedly occurred when he was recently on the way to Rentapalla village in Palanadu district, a police officer said on Sunday.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday, Satish Kumar of Guntur District Superintendent of Police (SP) said, “After analyzing various evidences, it was found that the deceased was seen under the wheels of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s vehicle.”
Kumar said that the old man, who received information about Singaiya, faced serious bleeding injuries. He said he was rushed to a hospital, but was declared dead by doctors.
A case was initially registered under Section 106 (1) of BNS (due to negligence due to the complaint of his wife, Cheli Lurdhu Mary at the local police station.
Police said after analyzing CCTV footage, drone visuals and circumstantial evidence, the police confirmed that the deceased was run by an east-CM vehicle in the convoy, “the police said.
After this’ confirmation, the police changed the case, which included Section 105 (not guilty of murder) and 49 of BNS (Abetment) and intensified the investigation under the circumstances involved.

The other accused were told by Jagan Mohan Reddy driver Ramna Reddy, Private Assistant Nageshwar Reddy, Senior YSRCP leader YV Subbarddi, former MLA Prani Venkataramaiah and former minister Vidwal Rajni, Kumar told reporters.
He said that his names have been added to the accused column, Kumar said, saying that the legal action will proceed as per the fixed procedure and implemented provisions of the law.
