Palestine’s position is a litmus test for global order, Palestinian Ambassador Abdullah Abu Shosh in India on Friday told the media in New Delhi that they are facing “United Israel-US War” in Gaza.
Slipping the western countries to “remove its motherland”, Shosh said that the Israeli defense forces (IDF) had destroyed two schools and a university library that were made with money from India. “There is nothing left in Gaza,” he said.
He also criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – who recently met US President Donald Trump and nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize and pointed to the “Genocide in Gaza”.
Shosh was commented during an interactive session organized by the Indian Women’s Press Corps. He said, “This is a joint Israel-US war that we are facing in Gaza. Israel is also supported by many other western countries including the United Kingdom,” he said.
Regarding India’s stance on the issue, in the light of the fact that it has bilateral relations with both Israel and Palestine, Shosh said, “I can talk about it at the macro level … We have given importance to India’s position (on) through the United Nations General Assembly and United Nations General Assembly and United Human Rights Council and other places. India is still supporting Palestinians.”

India also strongly condemned the attack on Israel on 7 October 2023, and the loss of civil life in the Israeli-Hamas struggle. India has consistently called on the release of all hostages and emphasized the need for secure, timely and continuous distribution of humanitarian aid, and has created conditions to re-start direct peace talks for a two-state solution for the Palestine issue.
The messenger said that everyone talks about the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, but the people of Palestine had earlier “suffering”. He also referred to a series of Balfor Declaration and later events over a century due to the construction of Israel in 1948.

“Palestinian question is a discovery for a global order; this is a litmus test,” he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Palestinian President Mahmood Abbas on the banks of the future summit in New York in September 2024 and called a ceasefire, the release of the hostages and a return to the path of dialogue and diplomacy.
