Joint Commanders Conference (CCC) – A biennial incident that brings together the country’s top military brass to discuss military affairs and national security – has been postponed in the background of Operation Sindor held last month, Indian express Have you learnt.

The conference was to be held in late May or in early June in Kolkata. Defense sources said that no concrete date has been finalized yet, it can now be in August or September this year. He said that time will depend on the security situation at that time. Prime Minister Narendra Modi usually attends the conference, which is held in every alternative year.

While Operation Sindor is currently on break, the level of vigilance is higher and is likely to be high in the next several months. After assessing the security situation in the next two to three months, the last date for this year’s CCC will be fixed.

With Operation Sindoor organized by the Indian Army in May, its joint execution by services and the lesson that came out of it is likely to be the major point of discussion on the end of the conference.

Inspiration and fighter leadership, absorption of technology in the armed forces is expected to facilitate global conflicts, Agneepath scheme and its future, as well as increasing use of new age technologies in the current security situation and preparations, as well as northern and western borders as well as agenda in the northeast and in the northeast.

The final CCC was held in Bhopal in March 2023, where the top military leadership considered several topics, including data, challenges and opportunities by social media, defense exports and implementation of Agneepath Yojana.

The conference also showed discussions on reforms in Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) to increase the capacity development of armed forces, and review defense PSU reforms.

Earlier, CCC was held in March 2021 in Kevadia, Gujarat.

Each of the three services also holds a conference of its service-specific commanders annually. In September last year, a two -day joint commanders’ conference was held in Lucknow for the first time.

It was held as a platform for the exchange of ideas, strategies and best practices between the leadership of India’s top armed forces and the Ministry of Defense. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh presided over the conference.
