Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday launched the Tripura School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework (TSQAAF) at Rabindra Shatabarashiki Bhawan in Agartala.

At the launch event, CM Saha said, “This is a new direction for TSQAAF Tripura. It will act as a catalyst in the education sector.”

The Chief Minister said that a good amount is being invested in the education sector, which has led to the overall improvement in the state’s education profile.

CM Saha also informed that the state government has recently recruited 226 graduate and graduate teachers.

“We are transparent recruitment through the recruitment board of teachers of Tripura. We will fill the vacancies with qualified teachers,” Saha said.

He also reminded the audience that Tripura recently became the Society in All in Society (Ullas) – New India became the third “fully literate” state in India to learn lifetime for the Kyakram.

“Tripura became a fully literate state after Mizoram and Goa, with a literacy rate of 95.6 percent. In class 10 and 12, pass percentage has crossed 86 percent and 79 percent respectively. In Vidyukyoti schools, in class 10 and class 12, pass percentage has increased by 26 percent and 21 percent.

Saha said that earlier literacy programs were limited to teaching people to sign their names, but the current focus has expanded among others reading, writing, basic arithmetic, important life skills and business skills.

“Education is not only about obtaining a formal certificate; it is an important catalyst to establish moral values ​​in life,” the CM said.

Later in the day, CM posted on social media, “Tripura has already taken strong steps to implement the National Education Policy. The School Education Department is tirelessly trying to create a healthy, competitive environment, changing each school into the center of excellence …

“As NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) recognizes higher education institutions based on quality standards, we are launching TSQAAF for schools.”
