Officials said the magnitude 3.6 earthquake on the Richter scale killed Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, but there was no news of any loss of life or loss of property, the officials said.
He said that the earthquake hit Jammu and Kashmir at 7:36 pm at 32.96 degrees north latitudes and nine kilometers to 74.71 degrees east border, he said.
