Many people, including some policemen, were injured after a conflict in Podili during Wednesday afternoon in the state of Andhra Pradesh after a confrontation between the ruling Telugu Desam Party workers and rival Yuvajana Shrimika Ritu Congress Party (YSRCP) on Wednesday afternoon in Podili in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Police said TDP supporters struggled after organizing the Plancards reading ‘Jagan Go Back’ and taunting the YSRCP workers, resulting in a scuffle.
A police station at the Podili police station said, “There was a heavy stone layer from both sides, and many people, including policemen on duty, were injured.”
Many people, including women, also allegedly attacked the former CM’s convoy with sticks and stones as he was leaving the city.
Jagan visited Podili to meet tobacco farmers, which he claimed that he was facing difficulties. He arrived at 10 am on Wednesday and visited the tobacco board to have a direct interaction with the farmers. After the meeting, he claimed that the minimum support price reduction for his tobacco yield was “extremely” affecting the farmers.

A huge crowd gathered to welcome him, with farmers and locals, he made his way to the center as a lining on the streets. According to police sources, when he was leaving the region, dozens of TDP cadres showed and raised slogans, eventually leading to confrontation and stone pelting with YSRCP supporters.
The conflict between the two parties caused panic as people started running to escape from the barrage of stones and sticks.
